Okay, so there's just too many things going on in fandom and while I don't have finals until Wednesday, there's loads of other shit to do and oh--look at that. Me trying to convince myself! The point is, black_goose is writing HAMTORIACHUL(SHIMIN) ZOMBIE FIC. This is like, someone going, you know, this is really good celery, but you know what would be really great with this really good celery: peanut butter. And then you get celery AND peanut butter. I just, idk. Really like zombies. So yeah, I drew, like, a movie poster for this fic in the likeness of The Faculty. As in, totally circa late 1990s boring, but I just felt like it. ( !!! )

The Top 13 Most Kick-Ass Faces of Michael Caine in Honor of His 75th BDay, everyone...four months late. But considering the trend lately, at least it's not TOO late.

So I was looking through my Photobucket account for a good picture of Hankyung's jawline, and I can't BELIEVE some of the stuff I still have in there. I used to take pictures of stuff! Like Central Park! or food I made! or my sister! or my cousin being disgusting and awesome! And I used to make really bad graphics and draw all these shitty, wimpy pictures (though I do like this). Wow.

But right, FINALLY I can listen to Milk@Coffee, and omg their music is so pretty. Like this song, Night: the guy's vocals are a little mismatched, but the girl's voice is beautiful, and though I have no idea what they're saying I could write Hanchul to this song all day.

Of course instead, I illustrated a scene from black_goose's FINGERTIPS because I feel like I owe her for all the spectacular Hanchul she's been dishing out lately. And I actually like this one too: ( From the end of Chapter 3 )

Now I have to pack -- but that takes about ten minutes. Then finish up some workstuff annnnd, I plan to finish up that Hanmin thing while waiting for my flight. You know, to take my mind off failing pilot tubes and such, augh. Btw yesterday's I Wrote This For You was so Hanchul.

Edit Okay, the first time seeing this was like, holy crap D: but if you wait for it to sink in a bit, then-- nope, nope, nevermind. Oh man.

Today was weird. Ambiguous yet sexually explicit IMs notwithstanding MEGGY/MEGAN I don't know which, the temperature was actually lower than 70! which meant it was gorgeous, which meant everyone was out doing something. Went to an impromptu birthday party after work where the birthday boy treated us to dinner, which is kind of not how things are supposed to go, so we went to Grey House after where I bought him a mint chocolate mousse cake, which was awful, but this band was playing outside, and they were pretty good. Now I'm home and finishing up a few things for work and fandom, someone in the apartment below us is badly covering Coldplay on their acoustic, the weather is breezy dusk, and for once I actually feel twenty-something. SO to all you people here who are younger than me (which is like, EVERYONE) and feeling down lately, life is even farther away from over for you than it is for me. And it's rather nice sometimes.

Here, I'll even prove it: have a rock song written by PENG TAN and performed by the guy with the most perfect face I've ever seen on a Chinese guy, KIMI (oh my god he's so cute) I honestly don't think it's that spectacular of a song or anything, but I can't stop listening to it.

And speaking of rock: I did the rest of the cosplaying Diru thing, only it's not so much cosplaying as it is just, an excuse to draw SuJu in that dream band. Siwon was the first attempt for today, which is why he looks messier than the others, Sungmin just looks like a go-go boy, and Kyuhyun...I couldn't bring myself to add the spikes. Or much eye makeup --these guys really don't need it.

I also went back and fixed Heechul from this morning's version -- sometimes you just have to take artistic license instead of like, literally copying, because honestly, he looked way scary as the day wore on. Now at least Hanchul look like they're in the same band. And now I'm gonna go be a complete sap and watch the rest of Macabre :D

PRODUCTIVE DAY IS PRODUCTIVE. Finished Hankyung in under an hour. There's actually like, NOTHING very Kaoru about him besides the 5Ugly!hair color and eye makeup, so I added a tattooish scribble on his neck of Kaoru's kanji or whatever it is. ( Hankyung cosplaying Kaoru )

Okay now I owe Mag like a gazillion things, so. ♥

Okay so apparently I should just learn to shut up, because this morning after playing CoV like, fifty billion times (HYDRA is the longest song EVER omg), I was like, you know what would be kinda hot, if SuJu cosplayed Dir en grey. Like people used to do, you know? And then I was like, well, Heechul has to be Die. Now what was the hottest version of Die ever? (This is actually a pretty good summation of my mental process.) Aka when did he effectively distract me from Kaoru? Saku!Die (this can be contested, I'm open to debate). Because like, holy shit, guys.

So then I tried drawing him, and ugh I mean, basically Heechul is IMPOSSIBLE TO DRAW. Like Die. This can't just be a coincidence -- just like them both being the most homosexual out of their bands, just like their favorite color is red, just like how they can pull off weird and hot so it's like, weirdly hot, and --you know what, they're basically THE EXACT SAME PERSON.

Anyway, I can only do headshots blah blah blah. And just for the record, I freaking hate jrock hair, it is impossible to imitate. But here it is: ( HEECHUL COSPLAYING DIE )

I got home today and did some really quick face sketches after reading the second chapter of black_goose's fingertips; alas my drawing skills are limited so all I was able to do was a general representative of Hankyung being emo and Heechul being warrgh! in reaction; I only had a chance to finish coloring it now, it's really crappy and simple/cartoon-y but hopefully the next one will be more involved! <3 ( fingertips first attempt faces! )

Speaking of like, how Super Junior is awesome and everything, I just want to say that I love this picture:



I'm not an expert, but I actually think this is a really good photograph (besides, yknow, the damn watermark). I love how Heechul's the focal point even with his back turned. The world as it should be, after all.

I almost died making this. Okay not, but I did listen to Coldplay's Lost! on loop for fifteen million hours. I AM NOT CUT OUT FOR ART. Especially drawing completely in Photoshop Elements, sob I don't even have Corel anymore. Plus I didn't figure out which brush made smooth lines until like, halfway through, so half of it is unintentionally pixelated.


Anyway, background story is: I saw this picture yesterday and loved it because I'm a fan, okay, the Wentzs are adorable. And then, as I told Mag, I thought it could be even more effective if say, Hanchul were to do this. More effective for all those Korean baptists, anyway.

I wish I had the actual art skills to back up my ideas, but yeah. There was another version in which Geng had hair instead of a hat so he'd look more like Geng, which Mag so helpfully suggested, but I was totally lazy and didn't listen to her. But I might do that version sometime/tomorrow anyway. However I did try to epic-ize his nose a little more so it'd be more Geng-like, as compensation. :|

( I understand how scissors can beat paper, and I get how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no fucking way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating students as they take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody. A rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock paper scissors, I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit I'm sorry, I thought paper would protect you, you asshole. )
